the place where music takes center stage

Swing Patrol plays a swinging variety of great tunes inspired by the golden age of jazz—the Swing Era. Drawing from the vibrant sounds of the 1930s and '40s, the band captures the infectious energy of small jazz ensembles, blending it seamlessly with the playful spirit of Dixieland. Think Benny Goodman’s drive, Count Basie’s groove, and Louis Jordan’s charisma—Swing Patrol channels all of it with authenticity and flair.

Swing Patrol is also the name of Scott’s newest CD, which has been making waves among jazz enthusiasts. Dennis Mersmann of MuzikReviews.com awarded it four out of five stars, writing: “Swing Patrol is an exceptional album.” He adds, “Each track deserves to be listened to once for every musician playing, to fully appreciate what each is doing.” Whether on stage or on record, Swing Patrol keeps the joy and spirit of swing music alive and swinging.

Suburban Swing hosts an exciting Sunday night dance at the Matsqui Community Hall, and our live band nights are always an event. Scott Robertson’s “Swing Patrol!” brings an infectious energy that lights up the dance floor every time. His nostalgic tunes resonate perfectly with lindy hop enthusiasts and fans of 1940s music, making each evening a memorable experience. With his professionalism and reliability, I wholeheartedly recommend “Swing Patrol!”
for an unforgettable musical experience!

Suburban Swing

White Rock Jazz has been hosting regular Sunday events for three decades now. For over twenty years, Scott Robertson has been a staple on our bandstand. His bands, “Swing Patrol!” and “The White Rock Rhythm Kings,” have become two of our most popular acts.

Scott’s professionalism shines through in both his performances and when he contracts his bands. Our club members always fill the dance floor every time his bands take the stage.

Bill Maddox
President, White Rock Jazz

“Scott Robertson's Swing Patrol joined us at KinVillage Community Center to ring in the New Year from 2008 to 2023. The ballroom dancers delighted in his authenticity to the genre, and our guests were constantly on the dance floor.

Scott was dependable and consistently produced a fantastic evening for fifteen years.”
